What you’ll find in each edition.
Each edition uses the same NRCS measurements as this dashboard. We’ll explain the change over the past seven days, compare it with the historical median, and link to the source. These readings describe the snowpack; they do not predict snowfall, skiing conditions, or future water supplies.
When there’s less snow to report.
Some weeks are quiet, especially in late summer. Those editions will be shorter. When the historical median is zero or very small, we’ll explain the readings in inches instead of showing a misleading percentage.
