The dashboard and your choices.

The snowpack dashboard does not use advertising pixels or visitor analytics. Fonts and interface files are served with the site. Your region and season selections appear in the page URL so a view can be bookmarked.

Newsletter signup.

When you subscribe, Kit processes your email address, confirmation and subscription status. We ask only for your email and require confirmation before sending the weekly newsletter. The hosted signup backend runs on Cloudflare and forwards your email securely to Kit. It checks requests and keeps keyed hashes of email and network addresses for up to an hour to limit repeated attempts. These are abuse-control records, not a second subscription list. The hosted form does not load advertising or CAPTCHA scripts. A separate Kit-hosted rejoin form may use cookies and Google reCAPTCHA.

Kit stores the subscriber record; this website has no separate subscriber database. An unsubscribe link is included in every email. Kit retains the cancelled record to avoid sending again. Kit can also record email opens and link clicks; these can be affected by mail-client privacy features and are not a reliable measure of individual reading. Public snow data and hosting.

The dashboard loads validated copies of published NRCS data rather than querying NRCS on each visit. GitHub Pages and Cloudflare host this website and may process technical request information to operate and protect the site. External links use the destination service’s privacy practices.

Your information.

Subscriber addresses and account credentials are excluded from public downloads and source. Email footers use Kit’s supplied compliance address; The owner’s personal mailing address is not published. The reply address in newsletter emails provides a way to contact the owner about your subscription or request an export or removal.

Report website problems through the project’s public issue tracker; do not post private subscription details there. Reply to a newsletter email for account requests.
